For me, saying “no” used to feel like a battle between wanting to stay true to my goals and not wanting to disappoint others. But over time, I’ve realized that every time I say “yes” to something that doesn’t align with my vision, I’m saying “no” to myself. And that’s a trade-off I’m no longer willing to make.
Now, I ask myself: Does this support the life I’m building? If the answer is no, I let it go—without guilt, without over-explaining. Because protecting my energy isn’t selfish; it’s necessary.
